Lighting above your bathtub

Picking out lighting for a certain area can be a challenge. As a designer I find that sourcing lighting is one of the more time consuming parts of a project. It is always one of those things that you pick out in the end so it compliments the space rather than the other way around. To find a light that works once you have completed a space can be strategic.

You can either have sconces, pendants, or chandeliers, the list goes on. It all depends on how much space you have for that particular area. Today I am going to help you pick out lighting for the primary bathroom, specifically, a light to go above your bathtub.

To begin, if you are placing a bathtub in your primary bathroom it is going to steal the show so you need to put a light that is going to have the same vibe. If you went with a more stone heavy bathroom then you should probably go with a softer chandelier. We have linked below a few options we think would work great for a space needing a safer piece yet still making a statement.

If you went with a more neutral stone with more grey veining you can go almost any direction with the chandelier. Something fun and funky is the route to go. In a case such as this, you have played it safe with the stone options so you can be more risky on the chandelier to make some noise. See below for some elegant loud pieces.

Lastly, if you included more wooden tones for your primary bathroom we recommend a more bohemian chic route. This way you get a classic chandelier but with a twist.

We have also linked all these options in our LTK to make it easier and give you some idea, hope this helps!
