Why you should hire an interior designer before construction

Hiring an interior designer can be a fun yet intimidating process. There are many different things to consider. One of the most common mistakes that we see at Nazeli Design is when clients hire us or any designer for that matter late in the process. It is actually more ideal to hire a designer prior to even starting construction. When you bring on your contractor you should at that point already have your designer on board as well.

This is crucial to the process because a designer will tell you from the jump what to do and what not to do. This is so important when building out the functionality of any space. We see it all the time when we get on a project and see how many corrections need to be made. The tricky part is sometimes its too late and therefore leading ours clients to have to compromise on the functionality of something. It’s not that it doesn’t necessarily work, it’s just not ideal. Our job as designers is to make the construction process as easy as possible. It shouldn’t feel so overwhelming when you have curated the right team for your project.

Among the many reasons you should hire a design firm before construction is so that you can get things done the right way the first time. Hiring an interior architectural design firm such as the services we offer is also efficient because we provide you with what you need and kill two birds with one stone. There is then no need to hire both a designer and an architect. You can save in this aspect and put that money elsewhere, such as splurging on a special wallpaper or tile!

Another benefit to hiring an interior architectural designer is that they will oversee your project till completion. Should you have an issues they can tackle it right away! At Nazeli Design we are always looking for ways to help our clients and make the process as seamless as possible. We know how difficult it can be to make such big decisions. We love being able to be a part of such projects knowing we are helping our clients be one step closer to their dream space!
